Micah Miner (MA, MEd, and EdS) currently serves as the District Instructional Technology & Social Studies Coordinator at Maywood-Melrose Park-Broadview School District 89 near Chicago. He advocates that equity matters, not just globally but also locally, and that all students deserve equity and access in education and in life. 

Twenty-four years of experience include time as a teacher in K-12 settings for both regular classrooms and alternative schools, as a social studies department chair, instructional technology coach, adjunct professor in social studies and instructional technology, and as a school and district administrator.

Micah has presented keynote speeches and served as a panelist at many state and national conferences on technology, social studies curriculum, and leadership topics, provided professional development for IL ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development), and is active in the ICSS (Illinois Council for Social Studies) and NSSLA (National Social Studies Leaders Association).

In addition to his book AI Goes to School, Micah is a contributing writer for the American Consortium for Equity in Education, a Chicago Teach Plus Alum, and a happy husband and father of four children in Chicago.
