Kristina Holzweiss Times 10 Author

Kristina Holzweiss is the co-author of Hacking School Libraries (Times 10, 2018). She is a certified school librarian, education technology specialist, and secondary English teacher. Kristina is the School Library Journal/Scholastic School Librarian of Year (2015), National School Board “20 to Watch” (2017), and Library Journal Mover and Shaker (2018). An active member of the national organization Nation of Makers, Kristina is the president of the Long Island LEADS non-profit and the founder of SLIME – Students of Long Island Maker Expo.

She is a keynote speaker, a professional developer, and the co-author of eight Scholastic makerspace books for elementary students. She blogs at Bunhead with Duct Tape, tweets at @lieberrian, and shares through instagram at @lieberrian. Most important, Kristina advocates for posthumous diplomas for high school students in memory of her sister Laryssa.
