Passionate about educational innovation and equity, Hollie Woodard, 2022 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year Finalist, is a special needs parent, English teacher, and tech coach from Pennsylvaniaā€™s Council Rock School District. She serves as the Advocacy Chair of The Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communications and Technology (PAECT) and advocates for digital equity.
As the founder of the Pennsylvania Dyslexia Teacher Taskforce, she advocates for literacy by educating teachers about the inequity of dyslexia. She also serves on the Pennsylvania Teacher Advisory Committee (PTAC), where she shares her narratives to help drive educational decision-making in the state. As a Keystone Technology Innovator Star and Lead Learner, she works to innovate public education by advocating for twenty-first century best practices.
She and her husband, Ryan, have been happily married for twenty years and are the proud and exhausted parents of two boys. Their happy little family can be found every Saturday night at their local Chiliā€™s, where it is their family tradition to receive outstanding service from their favorite waitress, Tina, while sipping strawberry margaritas and losing horribly at trivia.
