Micah Miner Times 10 Author

Micah Miner, MA, MEd, EdS, advocates that equity matters, not just globally but also locally, and that all students deserve equity and access in education and in life. 

His over two decades of experience include time as a teacher in K–12 settings for both regular classrooms and alternative schools, a social studies department chair, an instructional technology coach, an adjunct professor in social studies and instructional technology, and a school and district administrator.

Micah has presented keynotes, served as a panelist, has been a guest on various podcasts, and presents regularly at many state and national conferences on technology, social studies curriculum, and leadership topics. As an educational thought leader and consultant, he provides professional development for IL ASCD, reviews proposals for conferences for ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development) and is a Community Leader for ISTE (International Society for Technology Education) where he serves as a peer reviewer for conference proposals as well. 

Additionally he is a part of CoSN (Consortium for School Networking) as well as its Illinois affiliate IETL (Illinois Educational Technology Leaders), is active in NCSS  (National Council for Social Studies) and its Illinois affiliate ICSS, and NSSLA (National Social Studies Leaders Association).

He currently serves as the District Instructional Technology & Social Studies Coordinator at Maywood-Melrose Park-Broadview School District 89 near Chicago.  

In addition to his book AI Goes to School, Micah is a contributing writer for the American Consortium for Equity in Education, a Chicago Teach Plus Alum, and a happy husband and father of four in Chicago.
