A colleague and I started searching for ways to "hack education" on our campuses, specifically searching for tools and ideas. How serendipitous to stumble across this book while doing our research. Each of these ideas you can use immediately, and each includes how to get started. There are also testimonials from educators who have used it, not just philosophical ideas. This is a great book full of practical ideas to help you and your fellow educators improve, save time, and find ways to reignite your passion for teaching. Buy this book and just pick one to try today!
Do you teach? Get this book. I just finished reading this as I roll into my 27th and final year of teaching. The wisdom here is stellar, and it's a quick, easy read without the long-winded verbiage of rationale we usually get when educators are trying to justify yet another "new" thing. Understand, this book is not trying to present yet another fad in education. It simply offers ten quick and relatively painless solutions to common issues in the day-to-day routine of teaching. (As an English teacher, my favorite was the book nook. If only every school would follow suit!)
Well written, articulate, concise and to the point, this book will, at the very least, generate some ideas, and at best will help you be even more effective as a teacher.
