I love this book! It is a gem. Kimberley Moran has captured the essence of parenting, in a helpful supportive open minded way. She shows us specific things we can do, that will fit any parenting style. It is a very helpful resource to return to again and again. Thank you for this wonderful book Kimberley!

I absolutely LOVE this new parenting book by Kimberley Moran! It is a fun and easy read to breeze through, more like a conversation with a friend who "gets it" than some tome dictated on on high. I love that she acknowledges the real-life challenges of being a parent in this day and age: it is indeed the toughest job you will ever love and it's always changing! Your kids get older, their interests and abilities are always evolving, and we as parents must always evolve as well. The book describes parenting as a "balance of holding on and letting go" which is exactly right. Moran has a whole chapter called "Begin at the end" which talks about keeping the end game in sight, and above all, the goal is to raise an "independent, responsible adult." Yes! Easy of the chapters is based on a central idea or mantra and offers practical examples and "hacks" for putting the suggestions into practice. One of my favorite hacks is the PRN (Parenting Resource Notebook) in which you keep track of milestones, goals, challenges etc. that you are working on with your child to forward his/her development. She also talks about setting boundaries, building a strong foundation of trust and the importance of enjoying the whole messy, complicated, challenging, rewarding journey: The Prize is in the Process. This is my absolute FAVORITE parenting book, I am so happy to have found it. I know I will refer to it again and again, and I recommend it to everyone!
